Institutional Welcome

It is a great honour for Asturias to host the 13th International Conference on Electroanalysis, twenty years after its celebration in this region.
Electroanalytical Chemistry has continuously evolved over these years and its applications have paved the way to technological advances and improvements in the quality of industrial products. They have also opened new avenues for environment protection and health care. Asturias and, in particular, Gijon has experienced profound and positive changes. We are willing to share them with all professors and scientists participating in the success of the new edition of this high-level scientific meeting.

Twenty years ago, in Gijon, where I had the opportunity to welcome you as Major of the City, the ESEAC was created. Now, as President of Principado de Asturias, I hope this International Conference is a new boost for research and scientific cooperation.

I am absolutely certain that all participants will attend this meeting with this objective in mind. I invite you to explore all potential collaborations with the University of Oviedo and Asturian companies. Asturias, which, without a doubt, is always committed to the scientific breakthroughs and developments of our civilization, will pay close attention to the Conference conclusions.
