Invitation & Scope
As every two years since 1986, the European Society for Electroanalytical Chemistry is pleased to announce the 13th Conference on Electroanalysis that will be held in Gijón (Asturias-Spain) on June 20-24, 2010. This is the second time that Spain, and specifically Gijón, is the venue for this well-established Conference that joins electroanalytical chemists from all over the world.
Given that we are celebrating 20 years from that event that was the onset of the Electroanalytical Society, the Scientific and Organizing Committees have decided to honour some of the colleagues who actively participated in that Conference and decisively contributed to the development of our discipline but, unfortunately, will not be with us anymore.
The meeting will provide a forum for the discussion of the most recent advances in our discipline. The Conference is structured in four symposiums, each one associated to one of the main topics indicated below.
Prof. Robert A. Osteryoung Memorial Symposium "Theory, methods, new materials and nanostructures for electrochemical devices"
Prof. Georges G. Guilbault Memorial Symposium "Biological and biomimetic receptors for electrochemical devices"
Prof. G. J. Patriarche Memorial Symposium "Pharmaceutical and biomedical electroanalysis"
Prof. J. M. Pinilla Macías Memorial Symposium "Environmental and food science electroanalysis"
Although these four main topics will be emphasized during the Conference, all aspects of modern Electroanalytical Chemistry are welcome.
On behalf of both scientific and organizing committees of ESEAC 2010, we cordially invite you to contribute to this meeting. We are sure this meeting will be a great opportunity to strengthen links or create new ones in order to find novel ideas and improve further our discipline.
We look forward to meeting you in Gijón next June.
Prof. Paulino Tuñón Blanco
Chairman of the Organizing Committee
Honorary President: Excmo Sr. D. Vicente Álvarez Areces
President of Principality of Asturias and former Major of Gijón (1990)
